Is that Egg Old? Here's An Easy Trick to Let You Know

Did you know you can tell if an egg is old based on whether it floats in water? If an egg floats when you set it in water, then it’s old. If it sinks, it’s a fresh egg. Can’t remember if an egg in the refrigerator is raw or hardboiled? Try spinning it! Raw eggs wobble as the liquid inside shifts, but hardboiled eggs spin smoothly. Also, because older eggs have larger air cells, they’re much easier to peel than fresh eggs.

Printing Quiz

When printers talk about creating a mask for your project, what they really mean is...

  • A covering for all or part of the face

  • A facial treatment to tighten pores and reduce wrinkles

  • Concealing something from view

When your print project includes foil stamping, spot UV, or embossing, a mask shows where the coating or impression will appear.
